Chola Women in Temple Restoration
Abstract
The cholas ruled Tamilnadu from 7th century AD to the 12th century AD. The chola period was considered the Golden era in the history of Tamils. Thus, royal ladies, thevaradiyar, working women, home makers have done the divine work along with the housework. Apart from this, this women participated to built temple and other works pertain to temple without any discrimination of various religious like 'siva', 'vainava' and 'samana'. Thereby, the women of chola period contributed in Temple works.
