He is notable for his war poems and spontaneity of expressing ideas through his poetic excellence. Though this poetic genre was predominantly practised during 11th century, he could be grouped under one of the prominent war poets belonging to 20th century. In 1971, the then Prime Minister Mrs.Indra Gandhi initiated the Bengal war to protect human rights and establish democracy. Because of the untiring efforts and support of the Indian army, within two weeks Bangaladesh got its independence.
