Tamil Kappiyam’s are created to promote the virtues of life that can enrich human society. Among the Iyberum Kappiyam’s, the Soolamani is considered by the researchers to be a Iyberum Kappiyam. The author of this book is Tholamozhi Thevar. Although this book is an adaptation of a vernacular book, some changes have been made in accordance with the Tamil tradition. Although Soolamani Kappiyam is Jain religious, it also contains the biographies of women in the society of that time. This article discusses the record of women's participation in government and family life, their rights, and the role of women in religious life.
