The Self-Respect Movement and the Concept of ‘Love’

    

Abstract

Self-respect movement kept rationalism as a fundamental yardstick in approaching any social issues. They questioned the notion of patriarchy and were critical towards the concept of ‘love’, ‘chastity’, ‘motherhood’, and ‘prostitution’. In this context, the present paper focusses how the self-respect movement understanding the concept of ‘love’.
