Life Principles Demonstrated by the Righteous Path
Abstract
The way of righteousness, seeking knowledge, experiencing pleasure while avoiding pain, is the life principle taught by our ancestors. Accordingly, a person with high moral values is considered Tamil. Such a person elevates himself to the best of humanity by aligning his actions with his thoughts, displaying discretion and compassion by avoiding harmful behaviors and striving for excellence. Humans experience both pleasure and pain from a young age, making it easy for some to learn from experiences. Some people admire and value wealth; they are called the wealthy. Those who possess good qualities are considered wealthy even in poverty. If it is considered useful to benefit the wealthy, then it speaks of righteousness. Living for oneself while living for others, giving one's own wealth to others, is the noble quality taught by books like Thirukkural, which are considered guides to righteousness for the world. This book explains that true righteous living is helping others by understanding the principles of righteousness and assisting them.
